Earthshack Tour for Teens & Tweens

In partnership with Casey Tech School, we are excited to offer this school holiday tour and workshop. A great mix of hands on activities and a tour of Earthshack to see passive solar design in action. This workshop if free of charge, however bookings are essential. Sustainable Home Design Workshop

Are you planning your own new home? Or know someone who is? It's such an exciting time, and the only time to get the design right.
We have had visitors to Earthshack coming through at all different points in their design cycle as well those who are just curious to see a strawbale house after watching Grand Designs.
Come and check out how this 8.4 star energy efficient home has been so well designed and owner built. Loads of design tips to easily apply to your own build. This workshop is popular for strawbale enthusiasts as well as those building with brick, timber, rammed earth or colorbond. We will cover the basics on passive solar design, thermal mass, glazing, room layout, insulation, convective cooling cupboard and natural finishes. With a year round temperature range of 16.5 degrees to 22.5 degrees without cooling, this home is the ultimate off-grid comfy home.
